Thank u so much I just subscribed and like this video I'm an Interior Designer and plan on having my start up in my business pursuit later this year 2024 to early next year 2025. My plans are to revitalize my hometown and the city I live in and the surrounding cities (approximately 10-20mins distances between each city all in Texas). I'll be reviving the homes and empty lots in neighborhoods to bring back former glory it once was in the early 1900's. So I'll be focusing on residential but as well as working on home ppl have that need renovation and as well as becoming a real estate broker so I can show ppl homes to buy and after their closing I'll flip it.

Who is responsible for paying the contractors? Do you add contractors fees on top of your fees for the client to pay?

hi i just watched this they are beautiful, i make keychains also but a little more simple, i used to add charms but i noticed the ones i have bought from amazon tarnish so i stoped adding them, but i love how easy this looks well you make it look easy i want to add something like this to my shop, but do you have any advice on where to get good quality charms? they really bring it all together.

I looked into this, but I thought in Canada to call yourself an Interior Designer (as opposed to a decorator) you needed to understand building codes, laws etc and pass extensive testing... which requires a four-year degree (CIDA only lists a Bachelor)... so how does this program allow you to call yourself an Interior Designer if it is just a certificate? Algonquin College has a Bachelor of Interior Design and a Certificate in Interior Decorating for example.

can you tell which online interior course is best

Hi Sarah, do you photograph your finished projects? Could you do a video on what softwares you use to edit the images, settings if you use your phone, etc.? I am enrolled in the IDI program and I wish they had either a masterclass or advanced module for this. Getting a photographer after each project would not be cost effective, especially in my area. Thank you!

Im a customer in Southern California searching for an interior decorator. How can i ensure the decorator doesn't upcharge on the furniture/accessories i select? Do i ask for actual invoices from the retailer? If i trust they have access to furnishings at a designer discount, i want that discount but will pay for their services/work hours. My friend got scammed by a designer who bought stuff from HomeGoods and world market and upcharged without her knowledge!She found the exact items at these stores for less.

Do you have to get a builder to come and check if a wall can be knocked out and estimate costs?

Hey, this was very informative! Quick question, I can’t seem to find this answer anywhere. With IDI being accredited in only DDA-specifically for Canada, does that ultimately mean I won’t be recognized and/or qualified to work outside of Canada. I primarily work in Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia and was hoping to apply for an agency in one of those states. I assume it’ll just depend on the firm, but wanted to ask incase you have some insight on this. Thanks!

As a single mom and 48 years old I am only have 12 more classes left to get my BA in Business with a Marketing certificate. I want to become an Interior Designer but the thought of going back to University and taking on more crazy loans is not something I want at my age especially. Thank you for this video! i have access to the best moving service, i own it lol. i want to expand to interior design. so, would you say I need to be in residential? i mean obviously. i want to be the guy who tells you how to place things in the house because we have an eye for that after 10+ years working with realtors and interior designers. we are just not sure where to start.
